Linda S. Case

Oxford, CT

Linda Sue Case, age 59, suddenly left this life on Monday, December 3, 2012. She was the loving companion of the late Rene Lauzier.

Linda, the youngest of five daughters, was born on October 23, 1953 in Flemington, NJ, daughter of the late Hiram H. and Jean (Hutchinson) (Case) Preckwinkle. Linda worked as a revenue examiner for the State of CT for many years. She had a passion for life and generosity that extended beyond her family to her friends whom she has made over the years. She gave selflessly, in all aspects of her life, to many organizations. She volunteered at Griffin Hospital with over 500 hours of service. She had a zest for gardening, the outdoors, and being involved with projects of all desires.

Linda is survived by her four remaining sisters, Barbara Brannan of Bastrop, TX, Nancy Zakrzewski of Harwich, MA, Patricia McKelvey of Smithville, TX and Donna Bugyi of Easton, PA. She also leaves one niece Cheryl Smith of Georgetown, TX, her two nephews, Dave Sheppard of Washington, ME and Thomas Sheppard of Ringoes, NJ as well as many friends. In addition to her love, Rene, Linda is predeceased by her sister Mary Sheppard.

All services are private and at the convenience of the family. Maiorano Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements. Memorial contributions in Linda’s name may be made to: Oxford Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 515, Oxford, CT 06478 or to a charity of the donor’s choice. A memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held in the Spring, 2013. For more information and online condolences visit www.maioranofuneralhome.com.
